WC3L Qualifier Round 3

Round three of the WC3L qualifier process kicks off this weekend with Mortal Team Work taking on Delta this Saturday, then a battle royal chaser on Sunday to close out the week.

This seasons qualifier is arguably one of the most competetive we’ve ever seen. Surprising first round results echo that statement with two of the four Asian participants, Colorful and NGTV, knocked out by the two American competitors H2O and EnVy.

Team wNv are looking to muscle their way back into the league after missing out on last seasons festivities and they’ll be taking on Serious Gaming, who on the other hand were present and accounted for in season thirteen’s dug out. Unfortunaly for Serious an abismal performance landed them in last place after last season, hence their re-qualification. Serious have since given their roster a quick shake down and will hopefully fair better this season, should they make it in.

The match to watch this week will definitely be Hoorai versus Gravitas, both very capable teams who have been doing well recently. Gravitas is currently tearing up their first NGL One season with an impressive undefeated record. Hoorai have also been doing quite well in the current NGL season with a win over MYM and a close game between themselves and SK Gaming. They’re currently trailing just behind SK on the ranking board in sixth position, a respectible performance in such a competetive league.

In the lower bracket H2O are fighting for survival against n!faculty after a surprising yet convincing loss to RAPTOR last week. H2O started the season on the right foot with a confidence inspiring win over the fresh faced NGTV, it seemed as though the American veterans had the juice to make it all the way. Unfortunatly RAPTOR saw things differently and cut them down with a four to one victory slamming H2O down hard into the lower brackets.

H2O are going to have to bring their A-game if they expect to see another round in this qualifier.

As we edge closer and closer to the finals the steaks continue to rise, H2O are fighting to survive and Gravitas’ cross competition undefeated streak is on the line. This week is sure to be an exciting one, so don’t miss the matches.
