MYM acquires SocceR, Storm and Ciara move on

WC3L XIII champions MeetYourMakers have just given official word that they have recruited former WICKED eSports star Deok Man “SocceR” Yoon.

Yoon has been an imposing opponent to even the most accomplished Warcraft III players over the past year or so. He took home the championship title for the first season of AWL, a very competitive Korean event, later winning the King of Kings event, a compilation of all the AWL championship contenders.

More recently he was found competing at the KODE5 2008 Global Finals in Moscow, Russia, where he was able to place 3rd behind a surprisingly formidable Park Chul “Shy” Woo and the favorite Xuwen “InFi” Wang. Yoon currently holds a position in the South Korean ESWC qualifier semi-finals stage which in itself was no easy feat. Yoon qualified for the semi-finals at the expense of Kim “ReMinD” Sung Sik of SK Gaming, Dae Hui “FoV” Cho of mTw and Min Hyuk “MinHyuk” Jo of fnatic, all well respected Korean talents.

Yoon comes to MYM from WICKED eSports, a team with world class potential that was unfortunately buried before it really took off. Regardless of how his previous team ended he is pleased to be with such a well respected team, as he explains “I am really happy to join Team MYM. I will work even harder than before to show a great performance for the fans.”

Additionally, the team has decided that Jae Woong “Storm” Kim and Rene “Ciara” Krag would both move on, having been predominantly inactive for quite some time. Krag however has apparantly found enthusiasm for the game again and will continue his career with fellow Danes CPG. Kim conversely is now liable to retire.

With the addition of a second Night elf player the team now has that extra maneuverability concerning clan matches. It will be interesting to see how this affects the week to week line-up.
