nWo and Raptor added to WC3L XIV

The ESL announced today that both NoWAYouT and RAPTOR-Gaming would be added to the WC3L Season XIV, replacing Beijing E-sports Team and DoOrDie – formerly WICKED eSports.
Earlier in the year Beijing E-sports Team deteriorated as players left one after another to sign with Mortal Team Work. BeT had claimed they would have a new team ready long before the new season kicks off but so far no team has been revealed.
DoOrDie on the other hand were released, as one unit, from their former organisation WICKED eSports. The move left the team without any kind of corporate backing which resulted in their dissolution, Voodoo Gaming subsequently acquired what was left of the team.
Their replacements, RAPTOR GAMING and NoWAYouT, finished the season XIV qualifiers in a joint 5th place. A match was played between the two to decide which would replace any team not able to compete in the WC3L. Fortunately for RAPTOR, who lost the match, two teams in fact dropped out of competition meaning both teams were offered a position in the league.
“Our whole team is very happy that we have a chance to be in the WC3L. Of course I am very sad about wicked, it was a great team and I wish only the best to all their players,” nWo manager Valentin “Poval” Povaliaev was optimistic about the upcoming season.
“…our chances in the upcoming season I want to say that of course we don’t have such stars as SK or MYM, but we have something for our enemies: It’s our TEAM SPIRIT! I can promise that in every match we will play only for the win”.
NoWAYouT have done well for themselves recently and hope to carry that energy with them into the WC3L this season, RAPTOR are similarly optimistic about their goals this season, “everything is possible in this season. In the past, we showed that we are able to compete with the best teams in the world, so our goal has to be to place as high as possible. Sooner or later we get you!” As manager Marco “def23x” Siewert explains.
Both of these teams are fresh faced and enthusiastic about the upcoming season, which is somewhat reminiscent of the Alternate aTTaX team that went on to deal some serious blows to a handful of well established opponents in the previous season. Perhaps this seasons newcomers will experience similar success.
