Mikhail “XyLigan” Rybakov of Gravitas Gaming will replace Boris “Quaix” Lekontsev, who is unable to participate as a result of visa complications, at this years ESWC finals.
Lekonstev 20, finished second at the ESWC Russian qualifier behind Dmitriy “Happy” Kostin to earn a spot at the finals in San Jose, California however, the refusal of a travel visa has left the Russian out of options. Lekeonstev has canceled his participation in the event and given his place over to the next viable candidate.
Ryabkov 21, has accepted an invitation to attend in Lekonstev’s place and has apparantly been granted a visa already. Ryabkov has long been hailed as the top human player from Russia and certainly one of the better players to emerge in recent years. He has yet to win an international event.
The ESWC grand final will be held from the 25th to 27th of August in San Jose, California.
