ESWC 2008 groups released

The ESWC group have officially released the groups for the 2008 ESWC grand final to be held in San Jose, California later this month.

The groups this year are quite well balanced for Warcraft III, it’s not unusual to find a ‘group of death’ amongst even the more prestigious events, but this year’s groups seem to have leveled out quite nicely for the ESWC.

Each group is comprised of one top seed player, one high seed player, one medium seed player and two challenger seeded players totaling five players per group however, a shortage of players means group G and H will have only four competitors.

Dmitriy “Happy” Kostin has apparantly dropped out of the event and while rumors of Mikhail “XyLigan” Rybakov also dropping out are circulating, he has said himself that he will be in attendance.
