E-STRO announced recently the acquisition of Su Young “ari” Jung, who caught their eye while playing under project_kr.
E-STRO managed to qualify for the ESL Extreme Masters II finals while competing in Los Angeles in October. Placing fifth overall E-STRO, as a non European team, came second behind MiBR after beating EMG in a fifth place decider match, winning a ticket to the finals and $2,000.
Jung will be replacing Hyunjin “Miffy” Son on the team as he has decided to step down due to personal problems. Team mate Seonho “termi” Pyeon said that Jung is a “talented player” having had their eye on him since Son’s admission of his desire to step down.
The team will be practicing hard over the next few months in anticipation of the Extreme Masters final. Although no date has been set for the event it’s likely to be between February and March of 2008. This will give ESTRO an ample amount of time to refine their methods and turn the latest incarnation of their squad into a potential championship team.
E-STRO’s roster is now:
Su Young “ari” Jung Seonho “termi” Pyeon Keunchul “solo” Kang Jinhee “hee” Park Sungjae “Bail” Lee
